Toolbar - xAPPnow Modeling Studio

 
 
The toolbar of the xAPPnow Modeling Studio provides general functions for all models and model specific functions.
 
The following sections describe those functions in detail:
 
 
The following screenshot displays the buttons of the toolbar of the xAPPnow Modeling Studio.
In case of a Process Model, Collaboration Model and Frontend Service Model there is a  button "Publish". This button deploys these models into the runtime environment. For more details see Publish Model.
Also User Interface Models and Frontend Service Models have a button "Preview". This opens a new browser TAB and displays a preview of the model.
Other special Toolbar buttons are on Entity Relationship Models. For more details see Toolbar - Entity Relationship Model.

Save Model

1. Save Model
Saves the changes made on the current model.

Reload model

2. Reload model
Reloads the model from the server. All changes made after the last saving will be lost.

Back to Parent

3. Back to Parent
Navigation to parent model.

Go to referenced
upper level

4. Go to referenced upper level
Navigation to a referenced model of upper level.

Go to referenced
lower level

5. Go to referenced lower level
Navigation to a referenced model of lower level.

Undo

6. Undo
Undo the last action not saved on the model.

Redo

7. Redo
Restores the actions made on a model if "Undo" has been pressed.

Cut

Cuts the element on a model.

Copy

Makes a copy of the selected element.

Paste

This option will be enabled after press Cut or Copy options, and it allows to paste the element on the current model.

Maximize/Restore

Hides left, right and bottom windows an maximizes designer area.

Resize Property
Window

Change the size of the Property window. With one click the property window changes to 50% and with double click it changes to 75%.

Opens dialog Collaboration List.

Opens dialog Issue Management.

Refactoring

Enables or disables refactoring function on the project

Refactoring Usage

Displays the dialog "Refactoring - Usage" while the refactor action is active and not done.

Increases the size of the model view.

This option allows to make smaller the size of the model view.

This option allows to display the model view on its original size.

Resize model to fit into editor window.

Activates right angle connections.

Provides layout and element snapping support.

Exports an SVG image of the model and displays the image in a separate browser TAB.

Activates the Automatic Layout.

Lasso Selection

Allows to select multiple objects. Start at any point of the model and adjust the lasso area to cover all desired elements.

Publish model

Deploys the current model to the server.

Show Preview

29. Show Preview
Displays the preview of the final user interface that will be deployed on xAPPnow User Portal. This button is available for User Interface Model and Client Service Model.

Closes the current model.
