Understanding Service Model Concepts

 
 
The xAPPnow Low Code Platform provides two main types of service models
 
  • Frontend Service Model: client side execution in the xAPPnow User Portal
  • Backend Service Model: server side execution in the Camunda Process Engine
 
 
A special type of a frontend service model is a user task model (see sample below). Frontend service models can have any number of submodels and may include REST API calls or DB Queries, which offers the development of arbitrary complex applications.
