Service Integration Model - HTTP Method: Variant Configuration

This topic describes the method variant configuration of the HTTP Method element. The corresponding properties are available in SubTAB Method Variant.

  • Method Variant: the variant of the method, specified in the HTTP Method Tab
  • Method Type: the type of the call. Supported are currently GET, HEAD, POST, PUT, DELETE, TRACE, OPTION, CONNECT and PATCH
  • URL Substring: the value of the substring specified in the HTTP Method Tab
  • URL Parameter: the suffix of the service call, containing the parameters. The name of the parameter in brackets must be mapped in the URL Parameter with the correct variable
  • Method Body: select the body type in case the call requires a body definition: NONE, RAW, FORM-DATA and BINARY

REMARK: For Method type PATCH we should create a header key "X-HTTP-Method-Override" with value "PATCH" and change the method type to a POST type.

In this tab, for all HTTP Methods specified the exact parameters should be typed in detail. The service call parameters must be in the correct format, the parameters can then be mapped in the URL Parameter SUB Tab.
