BPMN User Task Responsible Configuration

This topic describes the xAPPnow Low-Code Responsible Configuration of a BPMN User Task, which is available in a Sub TAB of the Implementation TAB.

The following properties are available for this element:

  • Responsible: A user or a group the User Task is assigned to
  • Notification by Mail: Possibility to send a notification email to the assigned user in task creation
  • Email Object: Email BO defined on Business Object Model which contains needed data to send a notification
  • Task Url: The specific URL to directly open this User Task in the User Portal is saved in this String attribute

Usually, the candidate group is specified by the name of the lane the user tasks belongs to. So by default the Lane Group option is selected.

A user task may have one or many candidate groups, who see the task in their task lists and users belonging to one of these groups may claim the task. Sometimes it might be necessary to overwrite lane group candidate. In this case, the “Candidate” option in the responsible tab must be selected. Two mapping fields appear, which expects a single String attribute or a list of Strings with names of groups and/or a list of users.

Process Initiator and Assignee options have the Notify by Mail option and Task Url field to map with a string attribute containing a specific URL to open this task directly on User Portal. The Email Object must be defined on Business Object Model using Base Objects palette. To assign the user task to the user, who starts the process, the “Process Initiator” option is used.

Finally the Assignee option allows to map a string value containing a specific user which will have the user task assigned. This option also has Notify user by Mail and Task Url as it was explained before.
