Working with Models - Import/Export - Model, Folder, Project

 
 
The import and export function is available for:
 
  • a model
  • a folder
  • a model type specific folder
  • a level
  • the project.
 
 
It is recommended to use the export feature to backup the project or part of the project.
 
Remark: When the import is executed, existing models with identical pathname and model name are overwritten, after a user confirmation.
 
Create & Import Model
The Create and Import option allows to import an existing model and create a new model at the same time in a single step. This option is available for every type of models so the select model dialog only displays extensions of the model that is going to be created and also the Create & Import dialog depends on model types. So in case Data Objects, Business Process, Service and User Interface the different model types must be specified.
 
The following image displays the Create & Import Model of a Process Model. First field is for enter the name of the new model that is going to create. Next a field with all possible model types is displayed and by default the first option is always selected and finally the model to be imported can be selected.
 
 
 
 
Export Model, Folder and Level
 
The export and import functions are available in the context menu of model tree.
 
 
 
In case of Business Process and Case Plan models is possible also to export a full BPMN or CMMN file.

Export and import of a project
 
The export and import functions of the whole project is available in the main menu Project.
